Holy Matrimony

The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life,is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 1601)

Recently engaged? Please contact our parish office to start your preparation for this beautiful sacrament, even before scheduling or setting up any other arrangements. With the help of discussions with Father, we hope to give you the tools to having a holy, happy, life-long marriage! The Diocese of Minnesota requires preparation to begin at least six months before a wedding.

Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage:

* Call the parish office to make an appointment to meet with Father John.

* Meet with Christ the King's or Holy Family's Music/Liturgy Coordinator.

* Attend a Pre-Cana or Engaged Encounter Weekend as a couple. Dates may be found on the Diocese of Winona-Rochester  website.

* Discuss pre-marriage questionaire with Father John
