OCIA

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) has now become the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of adults)
This change reflects the Latin translation more closely, Ordo Initiationis Christianae Adultorum.
We will be starting up a new session of the OCIA in September.

Who is the OCIA for?
This process is for those:
1. Who may have been baptized Catholic but, for some reason, never were able to complete their Initiation into our beautiful faith through the Sacraments of Communion and Confirmation.
2. Who have been baptized in another Christian faith, but through the promptings of the Holy Spirit, would like to learn more about the Catholic faith and to one day become one with us at the Table of the Lord.
3. Who have been brought up in a different faith community but have been coming with their family for many years and would like to unite with them at the Table of the Lord.
4. Who have been having these feelings, promptings of the Holy Spirit, that this is the faith where I am called to be.

These sessions are also for those who are Catholic and would like to know more about their faith. The basics of the faith and why Catholics do what we do. All are welcome! If any of the above holds true for you, please come to a gathering on September 10, 2023 at 9:00 am at Christ the King to explore how you can become part of our faith community. Please contact Kathy Lieburn in the parish office or Lonny Lambrecht at (507) 923-1478. Text or call works either way.
