The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life,is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament. With the help of discussions with Father, we hope to give you the tools to having a holy, happy, life-long marriage! The Diocese of Minnesota requires preparation to begin at least six months before a wedding.
Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage:
* Call the parish office to make an appointment to meet with Father John.
* Meet with Christ the King's or Holy Family's Music/Liturgy Coordinator.
* Attend a Pre-Cana or Engaged Encounter Weekend as a couple. Dates may be found on the Diocese of Winona-Rochester website.
* Discuss pre-marriage questionaire with Father John
